The prestigious theatres in Santosh complex on KG Road = Narthaki and Sapna are on the way for demolition. The staff of the big theatre Narthaki and mini theatre Sapna has received notices in this connection. That also points to look out for some other job. March 31st is the last working day for these two theatres. In fact Sapna was rehashed very recently in the leadership of distributor and financier Baasha.

Look at theatres razed on KG Road – Sagar, Prabhaat, Kalpana, Alankar, Majestic, Geetha, Kempe Gowda, Himalaya and Triveni closed = it is nothing but a big blow to Kannada cinema industry.

Uma in Chamrajpet, Santosh theatre on KG Road and Kapali theatre on Subedar Chatram Road – days are counted for these theatres.

The culture of multiplex is the only way out.
